The History of Home Instead Senior Care Toronto Offices

Our Home Instead Senior Care Toronto offices are established as Toronto’s premier providers of non-medical homecare for seniors in the Greater Toronto area. We did this by adhering to some fundamental principles. First and foremost, we treat people the way we would want to be treated. This applies to our clients and their families, our CAREGivers, and our staff. We only hire CAREGivers that we would want to take care of our own family members. By focusing solely on non-medical care, we have a better opportunity to seek CAREGivers with the quality of character we demand.

Standards of Care

We set a high priority on the following three principles of quality care.

Responsiveness

We recognize that situations requiring home assistance are often very sudden and urgent in their development. An early discharge from the hospital, a sudden illness, increased frequency of falls, are examples of situations requiring immediate attention. We are on-call 24 hours a day for emergencies. We maintain adequate staff to respond to urgent needs. Most importantly, we work harder than anyone to meet your short notice situations.

Flexibility

Care requirements, health conditions, and family demands are all factors that will influence the need and schedule of care. We let our clients and their families determine the appropriate amount of care and the care schedule. As these needs change, we are happy to adjust the schedule accordingly. Clients are always able to discontinue service at any time with a 24-hour notice. We accommodate your needs, not the other way around.

Consistency

We devote a lot of energy to matching the right CAREGiver with each client. We follow-up each assignment to ensure compatibility and we work hard to provide as much continuity as possible. We would not want a steady parade of new CAREGivers taking care of us with each shift change, and we know neither would you.
