Our Senior Care East Toronto Team

Our Care Professionals
The heart of Home Instead Toronto East is our team of over 60 dedicated Care Professionals—compassionate, trained caregivers who serve families throughout The Beaches, East York, and Scarborough.
Our Care Pros are carefully selected for both their professional qualifications and their genuine commitment to senior care. Each team member completes comprehensive training in personal care, companionship, dementia care, and safety protocols before entering your home. Many of our caregivers are Personal Support Workers (PSWs) or hold nursing backgrounds, and all undergo thorough background checks and reference verification.
What sets our Care Pros apart is their heart for the work. They're not just providing services—they're building relationships. Whether helping with daily activities, preparing meals, providing transportation to appointments, or simply sharing conversation over a cup of tea, our caregivers treat your loved ones with the dignity, respect, and warmth they deserve.
Our extensive team reflects the diversity of East Toronto, with caregivers who speak multiple languages, including Portuguese, Tagalog, Tamil, Mandarin, and more. Our language variety enables us to match clients with caregivers who share their cultural background and language, fostering greater comfort and connection.
With over 60 Care Professionals on our team, we have the capacity and flexibility to match you with a caregiver who truly fits your needs, schedule, and personality. Our office team supports every Care Pro to ensure consistent, reliable, and high-quality care—because we know that the right fit makes all the difference in enhancing quality of life for the seniors and families we serve.

Diana Cabrera
Client Care Coordinator
Born in Cuenca, Ecuador, and raised in Canada, Diana has always been guided by a deep sense of compassion and a commitment to service to others. From a young age, she dreamed of making a meaningful difference in her community, which led her to pursue Police Foundations at Humber College. During her studies, she realized her true calling was not in law enforcement, but in providing care, comfort, and support to those in need—especially seniors.
With over 10 years of experience working with older adults in East Toronto, Diana's passion for senior care began at Revera Retirement Home, where she discovered the profound joy of helping others live with dignity and connection. Her empathy, dedication, and genuine warmth continue to shine through in every interaction with clients and their families across The Beaches, East York, and Scarborough.
Beyond her professional role, Diana's greatest joy comes from being a mother. She believes the patience, understanding, and love that guide her as a parent are the same values that define her approach to caregiving.
Diana is proud to be part of a small but mighty team that feels more like family—united by a shared passion for making a difference in seniors' lives every day, one caring connection at a time.

Tasnuva Chowdhury
Service Coordinator
Born in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and later settling in Canada, Tasnuva has always been deeply passionate about helping others and contributing to her community. Guided by this commitment, she pursued studies in Social Work at Centennial College.
Before stepping into her current role as Service Coordinator at Home Instead East Toronto, Tasnuva worked as a Caregiver with the same office. That experience gave her the invaluable opportunity to engage directly with clients, understand their needs, and build meaningful relationships. As a Service Coordinator, she is responsible for managing schedules, overseeing client care, and fostering caregiver engagement to ensure the highest quality of service and support for both clients and staff across The Beaches, East York, and Scarborough.
Her journey in caregiving began with caring for her own elderly grandparents and gradually expanded to supporting seniors in her local East Toronto community. Today, through Home Instead, she continues that mission on a broader scale—helping enhance the quality of life for older adults throughout the region.
For her, nothing is more rewarding than seeing the smile on someone's face at the end of the day—it's what brings her true peace of mind.
