Duties include, but are not limited to:

Requirements to be a CAREGiver (Senior Care Job):

  • Ability to treat and care for community members and their property with dignity and respect

  • Complete a criminal background check, a vulnerable sector check, 2 professional and 2 personal references
  • Possess a valid driver’s license is an asset, but not essential. Driver’s abstract is required.
  • Possess a vehicle with valid auto insurance is an asset but not essential.

We are actively looking for a Full-Time Service Coordinator to fill a maternity leave role.

The Service Coordinator is responsible for the assignment of our Care Professionals to the ongoing support schedules of our clients..

Primary duties:

  • Manage and maintain client and caregiver schedules.
  • Monitor, mediate, and log client and caregiver activities.
  • Actively manage and update accurate client and caregiver records within office systems.
  • Address any quality concerns through the counseling and supervision of our caregivers.
  • Field and route all Service Inquiries, Schedule Changes and Service Cancellations requests.
  • Facilitate & administer complex case care reviews with assigned caregivers & management personnel.
  • Perform “After Hours On-Call” duties which will include weekday evenings once per month.
  • Assist and support with Human Resource and Operational functions including interviews, orientation, training and personnel management.

Secondary duties:

  • Assist with special events, mailing of holidays and birthday well wishes
  • Help in the development of improved customer relationship management initiatives.
  • Assist and participate with billing, payroll.
  • Assist with planned Workshops or Community Events or training sessions as defined.
  • Participate in quarterly caregiver meetings & distribute monthly caregiver Newsletter.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Caregivers and their Schedules.
  • Caregiver Availability/Unavailability.
  • Client Hospitalizations Updates.
  • On-Call reports.

Qualifications:

  • Scheduling in home care and community care, health care or senior-related industry required.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in home care, health care or senior-related industry required.
  • Knowledge of Employment Standards Act of Ontario and/or HR role in the management of employees.
  • Must have experience in a customer service role.
  • Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, good assessment skills, effective interpersonal skills, and evidence of sound judgment and good decision-making.
  • Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality and meet key deadlines, organize and prioritize daily, monthly and quarterly deliverables.
  • Must have very good computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; specifically Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Previous experience in a quality assurance role would be an asset.
  • Must be able to meet mandatory Covid-19 vaccination corporate policy.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a criminal and vulnerable sector background check.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Canadian Citizen or Canadian Permanent Residency required.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual Salary: $50,000-$60,000 with additional performance/incentive allotment
  • Company sponsored Medical & Dental Benefits Package.
  • 37.5 hours per week and contribute to the on-call rotational schedule.
  • Paid vacation.
